Emmy winning identical twins, Ellen Kahn + Lynda Kahn are the co-founding partners / collaborators of the bi-coastal art brand TWINART. Recognized for their outstanding work in the entertainment industry they are also fine artists who were sponsored by the Polaroid Corporation in 1987 - 1993 to create 20"x24" photographs. Their multi-exposure images are layered with real life seen through the lens of media. This theme has carried through their artwork since their first video "Instant This-Instant That". TWINART's work exhibits internationally in museums including The Whitney Museum of American Art and The Pompidou Centre in Paris. Ellen Kahn + Lynda Kahn are recipients of the National Endowment of the Arts fellowship grant in Visual Media. Together, in their alternate personas Nancy and Susie TWINART, the dynamic duo, performed "Commercial Success" an early interactive audience participation experience at Franklin Furnace. "Commercial Success" is a video installation shown at the Aspen Fine Arts Center (now the Aspen Museum). Ellen and Lynda performed in Nam Jun Paik's "Bye Bye Kipling" the live satellite link-up between the US, Japan and Korea on PBS produced by WNET. TWINART’s videos have exhibited at The Tokyo Video Biennale, The Kitchen and The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
